Background
Today's financial industry is generating vast amount of data, but has just begun the development of the systems to exploit it. With open banking coming up in mid-2018, third parties will be invited behind the walls that today are making financial data an exclusivity for the owner of the system it was generated in. The next 10 years will be characterised by a bottom up reformation in the financial industry, and developments in Machine Learning is leading its way.
The Challenge
This year’s Evispot AI Challenge addresses how machine learning will contribute to credit risk algorithms. In the competition you will be given anonymised large data sets of transactions. The problem you are confronted with is to categorise each transactions to predetermined categories.
Structure
We meet at 17.15 at the 11th of May with introduction and launch of the challenge. You will then have five days to complete the task. Your submission will be evaluated on the percentage correctly predicted categories. The most creative solution will also be awarded. The winning teams will get prizes from the partnering companies.
